UNIFE/ETCS Steering Committee

The UNIFE / ETCS Steering Committee (UESC) is responsible for the coordination of ERTMS activities at a political and technical level.

The UNIFE / ETCS Steering Committee:

• Sets priorities in terms of political and technical matters to ease the deployment of ERTMS in Europe.
• Ensures a continuous contact with decision-makers and regulatory-body whilst developing key messages and recommendations.
• Follow up the Memorandum of Understanding for ERTMS deployment signed jointly by the European Commission and the railway associations.

Composition

It is composed by representatives of UNIFE companies involved in ERTMS.

The UESC normally meets every two months.

Membership is restricted to companies involved in ERTMS.
