Members

The UNIFE Communication Working Group is responsible for the development of a UNIFE external communication strategy. This means co-ordinating the communications strategy of the respective UNIFE members to promote rail transport in Europe and the image of the railway supply industry in general. This helps to identify common problems and to come up with common solutions to these problems. The role of the communications-working group is also to inform policy makers, relevant organisations, the general public and any other interested parties of the development in the industry:

There are several distinct target categories:

	Members of UNIFE
	Press and other media
	Other organisations (UIC, CER, UITP, etc…)
	European officials and institutions
	National officials and institutions

The tasks of the Communications working group include:

	The co-ordination of participation in Conferences and Seminars
	Relations with the Press
	Various projects for the dissemination of information
	The UNIFE web-site
	Lobbying EC-Officials
	Providing services to the members of UNIFE: UNIFE News (6 editions per year), UNIFE Information letter, UNIFE Magazine and the UNIFE web-site
	Articles in newspapers and magazines
	UNIFE Annual Conference and Reception

The Communications working group is made up of the directors of Communications in the respective member companies and they meet three to four times a year.
