| About the Group
During the recent months, UNIFE has been raising awareness on the possibility of developing e-Business tools within the railway supply industry. For this purpose, an informal and open working group has gathered several times with the aim of scrutinising the willingness of and the possibilities for companies to join forces and achieve better business relations by using the technologies and platforms that the New Economy is providing.
The spirit of the e-Business Working Group goes along with its mission statement:
"We are providing the electronic tools that will propel our companies and our industry to a successful and profitable future. We are open to explore and implement enabling technologies to improve the structures and business processes of rail. We are creating the future today".
The intention of the UNIFE e-Business Working Group is to support and enhance the opportunities and businesses of the members of UNIFE by:

Producing a feasibility for actions intended to be done |

Sharing information, among members, on e-Business initiatives expectations and experiences. |

Identifying and providing guidance for the electronic services by UNIFE for the benefit of its members and the rail industry in general. |

Developing proposals for improving the supply chain in the rail industry using electronic tools. |
|
Providing input and interfacing with other industry groups, regulatory and standardisation bodies relating to e-Business in order to safeguard the interests of the UNIFE members. |
