High-level event on ERTMS® and TSI Open Days Technical Workshop
On 20-21 January 2026, the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) in cooperation with the Czech Ministry of Transport, UNIFE, and ACRI organises an event dedicated to ERTMS® and CCS in Prague, Czechia.
Held back-to-back with the ERA CCS TSI Workshop, the dedicated ERTMS® event will kick off with a strategic session providing a comprehensive overview of ERTMS®, enriched by high-level political insights and regional perspectives. Opening remarks will be delivered by UNIFE Director General, Enno Wiebe together with João Gaspar (ERA).

- Oana Gherghinescu (Executive Director, ERA)
- iří Kolář (Director, Drážní úřad)
- Mojmír Nejezchleb / Radek Čech (Správa železnic)
- Vladimír Kampík (European Affairs Director, AZD)
- Petr Novotný (CEO and Executive Chairman, ŠKODA GROUP)
The opening session will be followed by a focused ERA TSI Workshop on Control Command and Signalling (CCS) where participants will be able to interact directly with the ERA experts concerning issues or questions they may have regarding the specifications for ETCS/ERTMS® and the CCS TSI legal text. All presentations will be in English with simultaneous translation into Czech.
To conclude, AŽD Praha will host a technical visit to the Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) Center in Prague – CDP Prague, where participants will experience advanced traffic management technology and see how ETCS Level 2 is monitored and controlled.
