InnoTrans 2024

InnoTrans is the most important global event for the rail sector and the world’s leading trade fair for transport technology, with a focus on rail transport and infrastructure, as well as public transport. The event is organised by Messe Berlin and it takes place in the German capital every two years.

The event brings together policymakers, industry experts, representatives from both the public and private sectors, and from railway companies to discuss trends, showcase technological innovations in the rail and transport sectors, and talk about their future.

24 September Announcement of the 2024 World Rail Market Study Results
UNIFE commissions every two years the elaboration of a rail market a study on the current and future worldwide rail market developments. The UNIFE Worldwide Rail Market Study (WRMS) has become a reference tool for the rail sector and is regularly referred to as a quality standard set of data for the rail supply industry. The 2024 version of the study is carried out by consulting Bain & Company and will be released at Innotrans. During the presentation event, UNIFE Chair Michael Peter and representatives from Bain & Company will present the main findings of the study highlighting the current rail market value including the accessible share for European suppliers, the market forecast for the industry through to 2029 as well as the main drivers of growth for the industry in the years to come.
