OSIRIS USER GROUP MEETING TOOK PLACE ON DECEMBER 17TH IN BILBAO

UITP organised the last User Group meeting with the support of CAF in Bilbao. During the event, the OSIRIS partners presented the most recent results to the European Urban Rail operators in attendance. The morning session was dedicated to a number of key topics such as Duty Cycles/Service profiles, technical and business KPIs, operational solutions in Istanbul and Paris. In the afternoon session, the partners responsible for the technical innovations illustrated the progress in the installation and running of the demos. In particular, ATM presented the SiC Converter Prototype developed by Alstom and installed on a metro train in Milan network, while Ansaldo STS described the status of the innovative cooling system for technical rooms using underground water which has been installed in the Barberini metro station in Rome.

Later on, the group moved to Vitoria-Gasteiz and had the opportunity to travel on the CAF tram where a new type of Li-Ion battery developed by SAFT was installed.
