UNIFE publishes joint statement on the Public Procurement Act with European construction industry

On 2 September, UNIFE, along with EIC (European International Contractors' Federation), EuDA (European Dredging Association) and FIEC (European Construction Industry Federation), published a Joint Statement in view of the upcoming Public Procurement Act.

In the statement, our four associations jointly call to consolidate the procurement-related aspects of level-playing field and reciprocity, European preference, quality and sustainability in the new Act while highlighting a few key messages.

The draft Public Procurement Act is expected to be published on 9 September. The proposal will revamp the 2014 public procurement directives and streamline it with other pieces of legislation with an impact on public procurement. It also provides a significant opportunity, for the European Rail Supply Industry, to use EU public procurement as a strategic tool.
